1041 Escape the City

The solid finish gives this a proper gel-glass look even under my desk lamp, and one coat already had that black cherry depth I was after. It's held up through three days of typing and dishwashing without a single chip at the tips.

I've been doing my own gel manicures for a couple years and this one cured smooth with no wrinkling at the edges. The solid finish is deep and glossy, more sophisticated than the bright reds I usually grab. Two coats covered fully and it lasted a full week before any tip wear.

I usually stick to lighter reds, but this black cherry shade surprised me — it's deep without looking too dark. The gel consistency is smooth and self-levels nicely so I didn't fight with brushstrokes. Just wish the colour was a touch more vibrant in one coat.
